In this Equality Bulletin there is a call to support the campaign by Federal Liberal MP, Warren Entsch, to remove discrimination against same-sex and other interdependent relationships in federal law.
There are also reminders of rapidly approaching deadlines in several LGBT human rights-relevant inquiries.

North Queensland Federal Liberal MP, Warren Entsch, has taken an important step towards his goal of eliminating discrimination against same-sex couples in key areas of federal law like taxation, superannuation, Medicare, veterans entitlements and social security.
He has written to his Liberal and National Party colleagues explaining what kind of discrimination still exists, what impact this discrimination has, what the Government has already done in the area and what commitments it has made which remain unfulfilled.
Entsch now turns his attention to lobbying his colleagues individually, as well as drafting the law that will make his vision a reality.
