Hi Everyone,

This Equality Bulletin includes two action alerts. The first is for a
newspaper advertisement supporting legal equality for same-sex couples. The
second is for the up-coming National Day of Action on marriage and
relationship equality.

National advertisement

Parents and Friends of Gays and Lesbians intends very soon to publish a
national newspaper advertisement highlighting legal discrimination against
same-sex couples and calling for reform.

PFLAG has raised three quarters of the money it needs to pay for this ad,
but requires another $2000.

The deadline for contributions is this Friday, August 3rd.

The PFLAG ad comes in the wake of two reports which show the need for
reform.

Monday August 13th is the third anniversary of the passage of Australia’s
ban on same-sex marriage.
